1. Getting Started

Hyperdrop is a platform for creating and distributing cryptocurrency airdrops on the Hyperliquid blockchain. Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A compatible wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect supported wallets)
  • HYPE tokens for transaction fees and airdrop creation fees
  • Your wallet connected to the Hyperliquid network (Chain ID: 999)
  • ERC20 tokens you want to distribute (for on-chain airdrops)

2. Creating an Airdrop

There are two types of airdrops you can create on Hyperdrop:

On-chain AirdropsOff-chain Airdrops

On-chain Airdrops

On-chain airdrops are deployed as smart contracts and allow automatic claiming. Follow these steps:

  1. Connect Your Wallet

    Click "Connect Wallet" and approve the connection to Hyperliquid network.

  2. Navigate to Create Page

    Click "Create Airdrop" button or go to /create

  3. Fill Airdrop Details

    • Name:

      Choose a descriptive name for your airdrop

    • Description:

      Explain what your airdrop is about

    • Cover Image:

      Upload an eye-catching image (optional)

  4. Configure Token Details

    • Token Contract:

      Enter the ERC20 token contract address

    • Total Amount:

      Specify total tokens to distribute

  5. Set Time Parameters

    • Start Date:

      When the airdrop becomes claimable

    • End Date:

      When the airdrop expires

  6. Upload Eligibility Data

    Upload a CSV file with eligible addresses and amounts. Format:

    address,amount 0x1234...5678,100 0x9876...5432,250

  7. Review and Deploy

    Review all details, approve token spending, and pay the creation fee (0.1 HYPE). The smart contract will be deployed automatically.

Off-chain Airdrops

Off-chain airdrops are free to create and perfect for announcements or manual distributions:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 from the on-chain process above

  2. Select "Off-chain Airdrop"

    Choose this option during creation

  3. Configure Social Links

    Add links to your website, Twitter, Discord, or Telegram

  4. Upload Eligibility List

    Same CSV format as on-chain airdrops

  5. Publish

    Your airdrop will be listed immediately - no fees required!

3. Checking Eligibility

There are several ways to check if you're eligible for airdrops:

Method 1: Search by Address

  1. Go to the home page or /airdrops
  2. Enter your Ethereum address (0x...) in the search field
  3. Press Enter or click search - you'll be redirected to your personalized airdrop page
  4. View all airdrops you're eligible for with claimable amounts

Method 2: Individual Airdrop Check

  1. Click on any airdrop from the main listing
  2. Scroll to the "Check Eligibility" section on the right side
  3. Enter your address and click "Check Eligibility"
  4. View your eligibility status and claimable amount

Method 3: Connect Wallet

  1. Connect your wallet using the "Connect Wallet" button
  2. Navigate to any airdrop page
  3. Your eligibility will be checked automatically using your connected address

4. Claiming Tokens

Only on-chain airdrops support automatic token claiming. Here's how to claim your tokens:

  1. Connect Your Wallet

    Make sure your wallet is connected and you're on the correct network (Hyperliquid)

  2. Navigate to Eligible Airdrop

    Go to an on-chain airdrop where you're eligible

  3. Verify Eligibility

    Confirm you see the green "✅ Eligible!" message with your claimable amount

  4. Check Airdrop Status

    Ensure the airdrop is "Live" (between start and end dates)

  5. Click Claim Button

    Click the "Claim [Amount] [Token]" button

  6. Confirm Transaction

    Approve the transaction in your wallet and pay the gas fees

  7. Verify Receipt

    Once confirmed, tokens will appear in your wallet and the status will show "Already claimed!"

5. Best Practices

For Airdrop Creators

  • Double-check your CSV:

    Verify all addresses are valid Ethereum addresses

  • Test with small amounts:

    Create a test airdrop first with minimal tokens

  • Set reasonable timeframes:

    Give users enough time to discover and claim

  • Use descriptive names:

    Help users identify your project easily

  • Add social links:

    Provide ways for users to learn more about your project

  • Upload cover images:

    Make your airdrop stand out visually

For Airdrop Claimers

  • Verify legitimacy:

    Check social links and project details before claiming

  • Check gas fees:

    Ensure you have enough HYPE for transaction costs

  • Don't delay:

    Claim eligible airdrops before they expire

  • Keep records:

    Save transaction hashes for your claims

  • Use official links:

    Always access Hyperdrop through official channels

Security Tips

  • Never share your private keys or seed phrases
  • Verify you're on the correct Hyperliquid network (Chain ID: 999)
  • Only connect wallets you trust and own
  • Be cautious of airdrops asking for excessive permissions
  • Research projects before participating in their airdrops

6. Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

"Wallet not connecting"

  • Make sure your wallet supports WalletConnect
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Try refreshing the page and reconnecting
  • Check if you're on the Hyperliquid network

"Transaction failing"

  • Ensure you have sufficient HYPE for gas fees
  • Check if the airdrop is still active (not expired)
  • Verify you haven't already claimed this airdrop
  • Try increasing gas limit in wallet settings

"Not showing as eligible"

  • Double-check the address you're searching with
  • Make sure you're using the correct address format (0x...)
  • Try refreshing the page and checking again
  • Contact the airdrop creator if you believe there's an error

"CSV upload failing"

  • Ensure CSV format is exactly: address,amount
  • Remove any extra spaces or special characters
  • Verify all addresses are valid Ethereum addresses
  • Check that amounts are numeric values
